Publication Design

If you need to create an informational document such as a brochure, annual report, event program, magazine, catalog or long form publication, starting out can be a daunting task. Many obstacles can be overcome with a little pre-planning and an understanding of how your publication will be reproduced as a final product.
Most of the time these types of projects are composed of different parts and phases. Pre-designed templates don’t always do the trick and can have a steep learning curve if you’re using a new program. In the end you’re not guaranteed the product you need.

Here is a simple way to get the ball rolling.
Create an outline of your content:

      • Stories/Articles
      • Images you have
      • Images you need
      • What type of document is it? (brochure, magazine, etc.)
      • What size does it need to be? (Letter Size 8.5 x 11, Program 5.5 x 4.25, Rack Card 4” x 9” and so on.)

My experiences creating magazines from cover to cover, advertising, catalogs, event programs, brochures, regional tourism publications and so on, is to break down the project into phases or sections. It will make the task more manageable.

The reason you’re here though, is to take the project to the next phase and to find out if K&H Graphics can help you design a publication that communicates your image, message, and goals. The answer is – Yes, I can. Contact me to start a conversation about what it will take.
